Throughout the 28-day training, we will engage in a deep and reflective exploration of foundational yogic texts, with a special focus on the Bhagavad Gita. This ancient scripture—one of the core pillars of yoga philosophy—will serve as our primary source for understanding the ethical, spiritual, and philosophical foundations of the yogic path. Through collective reading and analysis, we will examine the context and meaning of this profound dialogue, exploring how it relates to the different paths of yoga: Karma Yoga (the yoga of action), Bhakti Yoga (the yoga of devotion), Jnana Yoga (the yoga of knowledge), and Raja Yoga (the yoga of meditation and inner discipline).

Together, we will inquire into what this story represents beyond its narrative: as a map of human conflict, transformation, and ethical responsibility. The teachings of the Bhagavad Gita offer timeless insights into how to live, act, and perceive from a yogic consciousness. Our approach will be rooted in a non-dual philosophical perspective, opening up space for interpretation beyond dogma, and encouraging each participant to find personal relevance in these teachings.

In addition to the Bhagavad Gita, we will introduce selected readings from other key yogic and philosophical texts. These complementary sources will help us broaden our understanding of yoga as a worldview—not merely as a physical practice—and will reinforce the philosophical grounding behind what we do on the mat and in daily life.

This area of the training is intended to strengthen each student’s internal connection to the tradition of yoga, encouraging both intellectual clarity and experiential insight. By studying these texts together, we cultivate not only knowledge, but discernment, reflection, and a deeper sense of purpose in our personal and teaching practice.

This Anatomy and Yogic Physiology module within our 300-hour yoga teacher training offers an advanced and integrative approach to understanding the body in yoga. Designed to go beyond the foundational knowledge covered in a 200-hour course, this training supports yoga teachers in deepening their insight into both functional anatomy and the subtle energetic systems of the human body.

We will explore major anatomical systems—including the muscular, skeletal, nervous, respiratory, and endocrine systems—in relation to movement, breath, and the internal flow of energy. This foundation is paired with in-depth study of yogic physiology, including concepts such as prana vayus, chakras, nadis, and koshas—essential elements of the subtle body model in traditional yoga philosophy.

A special focus is placed on the physiological effects of pranayama, including how breathwork supports nervous system regulation, mental clarity, and energetic balance. Students will study how classical yogic techniques such as bandhas, mudras, and shatkarma kriyas influence internal systems and contribute to overall wellbeing. This content is supported by references to contemporary research in mind-body practices, adding depth and relevance to ancient teachings.

Participants will learn how to integrate this knowledge into class design, enhancing their ability to create intentional and embodied yoga experiences. Through the lens of advanced yoga anatomy, teachers will be guided to observe movement patterns, energetic alignment, and the deeper relationship between structure and subtle flow.

Practical exercises, visual tools, and guided inquiry will help students connect theory with practice—empowering them to teach from a place of embodied knowledge and confidence. This module supports a holistic approach to yoga teaching, blending modern understanding with traditional wisdom to foster growth on both physical and energetic levels.

Whether your interest lies in therapeutic yoga, pranayama teaching, or simply deepening your anatomical awareness, this module will enrich your path as a teacher and practitioner.

The Teaching Methodology module in this 300-hour yoga teacher training course is designed to equip future yoga teachers with a solid, practical, and embodied understanding of the core pedagogical elements required for effective yoga instruction. This part of the advanced yoga teacher training emphasizes how to structure and deliver safe, inclusive, and transformational yoga classes that meet Yoga Alliance standards.

As part of this 300-hour yoga certification program, we will explore yoga class sequencing using the Wave-Krama model—an intelligent approach that teaches how to build energetically and anatomically aligned yoga sequences. Trainees will learn how to balance categories of postures including standing poses, seated asanas, forward folds, backbends, twists, and inversions to create a holistic and healing yoga experience.

Through theory and hands-on sequencing workshops, participants will design yoga classes that support both physical wellness and inner awareness. This module empowers trainees to adapt their sequencing to suit class intentions, student levels, and individual needs—an essential part of teaching yoga to diverse populations.

We place a strong focus on rhythm and pacing—key aspects of effective yoga teaching methodology. You will learn how to organize class time, select postures that support your theme, and create a seamless flow from beginning to end. These skills ensure your classes are engaging, coherent, and aligned with the principles of integrative yoga education.

This module also develops instructional clarity. Participants in this 300-hour yoga teacher training course will learn how to deliver clear verbal cues, use body language effectively, and offer visual demonstrations. You’ll practice adapting instructions in real-time, ensuring all students feel seen, supported, and empowered—hallmarks of inclusive and mindful yoga teaching.

Classroom management skills are another key focus. Future teachers will explore how to hold space confidently, foster group cohesion, and cultivate a respectful, supportive atmosphere. You’ll also refine your communication—both verbal and non-verbal—to create connection and clarity in your classes.

A transformative part of this module involves stepping fully into the role of the yoga teacher. You’ll practice cultivating presence, confidence, and compassionate leadership. Through experiential learning, you’ll gain tools to manage group energy, read the room, and maintain a grounded, professional presence.

We’ll also cover professional development and provide practical guidance for registering with Yoga Alliance under the 300-hour RYT certification. Topics include ethical teaching, sustaining a personal practice, and navigating the early stages of a yoga teaching career with integrity.

Finally, we define professionalism in yoga not through rigid rules, but through personal commitment—punctuality, consistency, hygiene, responsibility, and presence. These values form the foundation of a respectful and supportive yoga learning environment. A steady personal practice is emphasized as the heart of authentic and embodied yoga teaching.

When we are able to hold the mind in one place that is called concentration. The word Dharana is a Sanskrit word derived from the root dhri which represents ‘foundation’ or ‘base’. In the yogic tradition, Dharana belongs to the internal stages of raja yoga which is the path of mental and psychological discipline. Dharana follows the stage of pratyahara where the mind withdraws from the external objects and is embodied internally.
The mind has the power to separate from the senses and go deeper to create its own world while the senses remain outside. Differentiation between sensory awareness and mental awareness needs time with practice. Once we are able to understand this distinction then the mind will be able to dwell in other deeper states where the Dharna becomes intense. The practice of deepening mental awareness could also be referred to as Dharana.
The concept of Dharana is just not merely holding the thoughts running in our mind but bringing one’s awareness and consciousness to a state where the body’s and mind’s propensity are functioning together. The state of Dharana provides supreme relaxation, mental power, and a greater ability to concentrate. With regular practice and dedication, we become aware of our thoughts. With Dharana, we train our minds of understanding and deal with our surroundings. The greater our awareness the better will be our control of the distressing nature of our personality like anxiety, negative thoughts, fear, depression, emotions, and so forth.
